Law students and high school students do mock trials and trial competitions to practice their trial skills. One of the first things they learn to do is take a complex set of facts about their client’s case and distill it down into a short, usually one-sentence, theme statement. This statement can serve as an opening line of the opening statement to a jury, and is intended to quickly and understandably communicate what the trial is about and why your client should win. Does this tool always succeed at that? Absolutely not. But I tried and it was fun.

The visual design definitely leans in to my 1990’s retro vibe. California raisins forever!

I maintain this now only in the most minimal ways - updating it to remain functioning and secure. I don’t plan any improvements or new features. It gets a surprising amount of use still though.
